Spring-cleaning season coincides with the cosmic house-cleansing that Christ did for us through his cross and resurrection. Christ renews in a way that no personal resolution could achieve, hence our great joy at being made new.  The “fool” santon comes to Christ on Christmas night with hands raised in excitement. Could it be that his joyfulness is not just about the incarnation (Christmas), but also the resurrection (Easter)?
